Appraisal Course – Pre License Package
This package meets the full 75-hour education requirement for real estate appraiser
license, which includes the 15-hour Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal
Practice (USPAP) requirement. The package includes the 60 Hour Qualifying Course
for Licensure and the 15 Hour USPAP course. The 60 hour appraisal course focuses
on the basic principles and practices of appraisal. The USPAP course will cover
the history, purpose and structure, how some terms are defined and used, and
the rules of USPAP.
Appraisal Course – Single Family
The purpose of this course is to provide students with step-by-step, in-depth
instructions for preparing the Uniform Residential Appraisal Report (URAR) within
the guidelines set by the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) and in compliance with
USPAP. Students will be taken through each section of the URAR Report where they
identify and complete the required fields. The students will identify sections
of the URAR report which include the following sections: Subject Section, Neighborhood
Section, PUD Section, Site Section, Description and Improvement Section, Comment
Section, Cost Approach Section, Sales Comparison Analysis Section, Indicated
Value by Income Approach Section, Reconciliation, and Additional Forms. This
appraisal course also includes several case studies for students to work through.
The course contains the essential information needed to prepare the licensed
and certified appraisers for the FHA appraiser exam.”
Appraisal Course - National USPAP Course Equivalent
This course is appropriate for students who are interested in receiving the mandatory
15-hours of Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices (USPAP) qualifying
education credit. The purpose of this appraisal course is to provide students
with knowledge and understanding of USPAP. It covers the history, purpose and
structure, how some terms are defined and used, and the rules of USPAP. It also
covers the relevant statements and advisory opinions. The required reference
material will be provided online which includes; the USPAP 2005 Edition and the
National USPAP 15 - Hour Course Student Manual.
Appraisal course - Uniform Residential Appraisal Report (URAR)
This course identifies the two types of appraisals and the three types of appraisal
reports. The course will instruct students in detail on how to fill out the Uniform
Residential Appraisal Report (URAR). Students will be taken through each section
of the URAR where they identify and complete the required fields. This appraisal
course provides the student with the guidelines and direction to create URAR
reports, which are in compliance with USPAP. Completion of an introductory level "Real
Estate Appraisal Principles" course is a prerequisite for this appraisal
course.
