By enrolling in the Certified Negotiations Expert  program  you have joined other real estate professionals who have made the commitment to raise the level of professionalism in the industry. 

In order to maximize the value of the program, we encourage that you complete the course modules in the order that they are presented.  Also, we invite you to prepare yourself to think outside of the box in defining the level of services that you will commit to in delivering professional service to today’s customer.

SOFTWARE REQUIRED
The course has been created utilizing multi-media programs including Acrobat Reader or Adobe Flash Player.

Windows XP or Vista
Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher
Pentium 4 or equivalent
Memory requirements vary with operating systems, hardware and Internet Access speeds:

DISPLAY SETTING
For optimum viewing we suggest using a screen resolution of 1280 by 1024 pixels.  You can check your settings by going to your computer’s CONTROL PANEL and selecting DISPLAY PROPERTIES – SETTINGS and adjusting your screen resolution.  As a very minimum we suggest using 1024 by 768 pixels. 

VIEWING CONTROLS
The website delivering the course for you contains self-explanatory navigation controls: BACK – NEXT and STOP- PAUSEUse the BACK and NEXT arrows to move from one slide to another.  The stop and start buttons are located just below the video screen.  The small black arrowhead that moves from left to right can be moved by putting your mouse on the arrowhead and click and hold the left mouse button.  Then drag the arrowhead to move the program forward or backward.  This is helpful if you want to repeat something that was just said. 

>>The small arrows jump ahead or back to the next section within a slide. The volume slider is set to mid-range so that you may adjust the volume on your computer to the desired level.

The course is broken into multiple Modules. Each module contains several sections.  The course is designed to only allow you  access to each module and section sequentially. However, once you have completed a module you can return to it at any time.

COURSE STATUS
The Course Status button takes you to a menu displaying the status of your progress through the course and lists the date by which you must complete the course.  It shows you the major sections and which ones you have completed.  You may select any module you have previously viewed or the next one in sequence … you may not jump ahead.

DOWNLOADS
The course Download section contains downloadable materials like the student workbook.  Adobe Acrobat Reader will be required to open these documents once you have downloaded them to your computer.  We encourage you to use the download option and print the workbook. 

COURSE COMPLETION REQUIREMENTS
To complete the course, you must finish each Section as presented. There will be knowledge checks at the end of some sections to help you determine your grasp of the material and provide a method for you to review any weak areas.

Upon completion of the last section, you will be given access to the 50 question final examination. You must then score a minimum grade of 80% in order to be given credit for completion of the required course curriculum.  Should you fail the exam, you will be directed to review the course material for the sections you failed and retake a new exam.  You may repeat this process until such time as you score the required grade.

What do I do if I encounter a technical problem or have a question while taking the course?
Select the HELP button.  You will have the option to contact “Support”.  We will promptly respond to your question via email during normal business hours, (8:00 – 5:00 Pacific Time).

How much time do I have to complete the course?
You have 180 days from the date you first log into the course to complete all modules and pass the final exam.

Do I get continuing education credit for completing this course?
RealtyU has not applied for nor registered the CNE Course (online or classroom), for continuing education credit in any state.  However, individual RealtyU® Schools or REALTOR® Associations may have obtained continuing education credit for the course delivered in their classroom.  The student must check with the school or organization delivering the course to verify the availability of any education credit prior to registering for the course.

How do I get my certificate of completion?
Every student that successfully completes the CNE Course will automatically becomes an Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE). Once you have passed the final exam you will be emailed a login and password to the Certified Negotiation Expert Council website, which will provide access to your profile.  You will also have access to “CNE Support Material.”

How do I get the CNE logo?
The CNE logo and other information including a press release template will be available to CNE Designees upon logging into the website and selecting “CNE Support Material”.

Where can I find the CNE support material that is referred to in the class?
The course support material is available for download on the Certified Negotiation Expert website. Log in to www.realtyuonline.com/cne/index.htm  and click on the CNE Support Material tab.


How do I get my name and contact information into the National Directory of Certified Negotiation Experts (CNE’s)?

When you complete the course you will become a CNE Designee and your name and contact information will be entered into the database.  At that time you will be emailed your login ID and initial password. You may change your password upon logging in but your login ID (student ID) will always remain the same.   It is up to you to ensure that all of the contact information is correct by updating your profile. You may also upload a photo for display as a CNE.  Your full contact information and photo are provided in the search results when site visitor clicks on “View Profile.” 

If I leave the course in the middle, how do I log back in?
Click on or paste the following URL into your web browser:

Enter your login ID and password and click “Login”  and you will be immediately taken to the COURSE STATUS page. Here you can navigate back to the place you were when you previously.

What if I can’t remember my login and/or password?
Go to the LOGIN page and click on “Forget Your Password?” and enter your email address. Your username and password will be emailed to that email address.
NOTE – Be sure to add isucceedllc@realtyuonline.com to your email white-list to be sure you receive all communications during and after the course.
